Three men Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns known as the hounds of justice otherwise known as The Shield have taken the WWE by storm over the past year with tremendous matches, moments, promo’s, storylines, etc. but what makes The Shield so good? Also, what does their future look like? Let’s go back in the books and look forward to the future.

For months before the 2012 Survivor Series people were wondering when Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were going to be brought to WWE TV, but there wasn’t much talk surrounding Roman Reigns at the time. Finally after all the time of waiting in the main event of Survivor Series 2012 PPV Rollins, Ambrose, and Reigns debuted by triple power bombing Ryback through the announce table allowing CM Punk to retain his then WWE Championship.  The three men duo would go on to main event WWE TLC in a winning effort and would go on an undefeated streak for quite some time before being defeated by Daniel Bryan, Kane, and Randy Orton in July 2012 thus ending the six-month streak, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. Earlier in May of 2012 The Shield were the stars of the WWE Payback PPV as all 3 members went on to capture WWE gold that night. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns won the WWE Tag Team Championship while Dean Ambrose won the WWE United States Championship all in tremendous fashion.

That brings the question up though, what makes The Shield so good? Is it their tremendous matches they’ve put on? What about the great moments they’ve made? While it is them reasons there still has to be one main reason, right? The one major main reason is the booking. Yes, The Shield has been one of the most well booked trios in WWE history, the storylines make sense, and WWE has made and still to this day book’s them to look strong! Really when is the last time WWE has held a team together this long without booking them in an unorthodox way? The fact of the matter is The Shield is a strong team that shows no signs of stopping soon.

What does the future look like down the road for the three individuals after The Shield splits up? Reports have been looming around that Triple H is high on Roman Reigns and with the size and work ethic Reigns has he has the potential to be a main frame superstar in WWE on his own and I believe when he gets that chance he will take the ball and run with it. What about Dean Ambrose? Ambrose is the current WWE United States champion. Ambrose is very good on the microphone and he has a look that can tell stories. Ambrose, I can see 5 years from now feuding in the main event for the WWE title possibly at Wrestlemania. That brings us to Seth Rollins, sadly 9 times out of 10 one member of a group goes on to have a lesser stellar of a career. Although Rollins is an excellent worker inside the ring and is pretty decent on the microphone I think Rollins will not be anything more than stuck in the mid-card not able to find his way out like Kofi Kingston has found himself.

Sadly one day The Shield will split and a tear will be shed in my eye and many others, but all good things must come to an end to make a brighter future and that’s what all three of these guys have is BRIGHT FUTURE’S!
